LET’S HAVE FUN TOGETHER
In addition to providing an amazing opportunity for building relationships, collaborating and learning, we want your experience to be filled with time for personal wellness and fun.
- Morning Yoga and Meditation: Begin Day 1 with a calm, energized mind by participating in the morning yoga and meditation session. The class will be led by a trained instructor and all levels are welcome!
- First-Time Attendee Breakfast: We know what it feels like to attend a conference for the first time, and we want to help make your onsite experience a welcoming one. This breakfast is a great opportunity to meet other newcomers as well as some OSSummit Pros.
- Ask the Experts Sessions: Ask the Expert Sessions are an opportunity for attendees to connect with subject matter experts to ask questions and seek guidance. The set-up is informal so come sit down with some open source experts to gain knowledge 1:1!
- 5K Fun “Run”: Led by local guides, we’ll explore Bilbao’s iconic landmarks. Immerse yourself in the city’s culture as we go by the Guggenheim Museum and the Zubizuri Bridge. We’re offering three pace groups (walking, jogging, and running) so all fitness levels are welcome to join us!
- Book Signing with Lauren Maffeo: Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Lauren Maffeo, author of Designing Data Governance from the Ground Up.
- Scenic Bilbao Boat Tour: This tour offers panoramic views of the city and an up-close encounter with the architectural marvels of the city.
We’re also excited to offer two evening events for attendees to join: an Attendee Reception at San Mamés Stadium and the Sponsor Showcase Booth Crawl.
Note that participation at many of these onsite activities are first come, first served. Participants must be registered for Open Source Summit Europe 2023 and be wearing their event badge to be admitted.
ALL ARE WELCOME
The Linux Foundation strives to make our events a welcoming and inclusive environment as the open source community thrives on collaboration and mutual support. Open Source Summit Europe aims to provide spaces where meaningful connections are made. We hope you’ll join us for:
- Women and Non-Binary Lunch: We’d like to invite all attendees that identify as women or non-binary to join each other for a networking lunch at the event.
- Better Together Diversity Luncheon: This luncheon offers the opportunity for all event participants from marginalized communities (including race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability), and their allies, to join together to build connections to carry through the event and beyond.
Open Source Summit unites thousands of community members, which can feel overwhelming to many of us. To help ensure our attendees get the most out of their interactions while onsite, we offer several onsite D&I resources including a Zen Zone, Interaction Stickers, and Pronoun Stickers.
